CITIZEN’S CHARTER

Our Vision:

To foster a well regulated and orderly growth of Banking, Revenue generation, protecting the interest of the Depositors and improve Additional Resource Mobilization to serve all sections of society.

Our Mission:

The Directorate of Institutional Finance and State Lottery was created on 22nd  September, 2005 by merging the erstwhile Institutional Finance & Small Savings and Mizoram State Lottery. The functions of the Department are split into those relating to banking, collection of Small Savings, framing of rules under Acts and generation of revenue for the State.

We fulfill the vision through:-

· Framing Rules under the Acts  

· Policy support to the Public Sector Banks (PSBs) and Development Financial Institution (DFIs) 

· Monitoring the performance of the PSBs, Private Sector Banks and DFIs.

· Support to regulatory authorities i.e. RBI, IRDA, FRDA and NABARD.

Our Services:

· Framing of Rules to Protect Interest of  the depositors.

· Collection of Pay Roll Savings and other National Saving Schemes through authorized Agency.

· Appointment/Selection of Distributor/Sole Selling Agent of Mizoram State Lottery.

· Appointment of judges for State Lottery.

· Monitoring of Lottery Services.

· Framing of Mizoram Lotteries Regulation Rules  under Lottery Regulation Act 1998.

· Framing rules under PMLA.

· Coordination between banks, industry, government  and financial institutions.

In exercise of the powers conferred under section 5 (1) & (2) and Section 19 (1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005, the following officers as shown against their names are to receive application and to provide information to persons requesting for information or appeals:-


Fees for getting information is as per the rate fixed by the Nodal Department i.e Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Mizoram.

GRIEVANCES REDRESSAL 

a. In case any member of the public is not satisfied with the services provided by the Department, complaint can be sent in the following ways and appropriate action will be taken for redressal thereof at an earliest possible date :

a. to leave a complaint in the Letter Box/ drop box which is hanging near the entrance of the Office,

b. to send complaint by post/courier to the Director, Institutional Finance & State Lottery, Government of Mizoram,  Tuikhuahtlang, Aizawl, Mizoram, Pin – 796 001.

c. to send complaint by e-mail at   ifsl_mizoram@yahoo.in

d. to see Lottery Result and other information at  www.ifsl.mizoram.gov.in 

SUGGESTION/COMMENT 

· In case any member of the public has any suggestion/comment to offer in regard to the Citizen’s Charter and for improvement of the services provided by the Department, he/she may write to the Director, Institutional Finance & State Lottery, Government of Mizoram, Tuikhuahtlang, Aizawl, Mizoram, Pin – 796 001.
